My battery pack won’t charge the Switch

So I was playing Zelda Breath of the Wild in Handheld mode when I noticed the switch was low on battery. So I took out the AC adapter and plugged it into the same outlet I always have. I didn't notice until later but it had not been charging. I've tried every outlet in the room and none work. But have tried other stuff on these outlets. Which all work. But the Switch won't charge. I currently am unable to put it in TV mode as I don't have the dock plugged into a TV right now and can't do so at the moment. Any solutions? Is my AC adapter broken? And if so how? Is the battery fried? I have been using it for about 4 hours but its not that warm and I don't think the battery would get fried 2 days after buying the console.
Answer(s):
If the provided battery pack doesnt work, you could try purchasing an Anker PowerCore 20100 or similar battery pack with a USB-C connection and use that to charge the console, albiet far slower than the standard battery pack.
